Progesterone issues

I am 7wks with my 4th child.  I had taken Progesterone with child 2 & 3, and had begun with this one.  Unfortunately, it is making me terribly ill.  The doctor said I should try the gel, but it is over $1000. for 28 days!!! Anyone ever have this problem or have any other suggestions?

Ill as in dizzy? If so, that's pretty common. I get very dizzy and feel kinda out-of-it when on progesterone pills in early pregnancy. If you take it once a day, you could take it right before bed, so you'll sleep through the dizziness (that's what my doctor suggested and that's what I did). Congratulations on your pregnancy!

You can try the pills, inserts or gel. I take 100 mg 3x a day. I don't feel sick when I take it. The pills can be expensive but with insurance and taking generic it's only $16. I'm not sure what you take but you could talk to your doctor about the other option. Good luck!

You can also take it as an injection. I forgot about that one. Not sure how expensive it is though.
