Thanks for sharing your story with me. I was also curious. With your three IUIs, did you have follicles on the side with the tube all three times? If you didn't have a follicle on the side with the tube, did you skip that month? Did your dr tell you it was worth it to move forward with iui even if you didn't have a follicle on the side with the tube, or did he recommend you wait till another cycle? I'm curious because my RE tells me I have great chances even if the follicle is on the wrong side, and I just can't find any info to back up what he is tell me.
Hi!
The two first try I had a follicle in the "good" side an he went ahead with the IUI the third month it was only in the "wrong" side and he canceled the IUI.
I hope this helps,
M
Hi Hannah,
Its never too personal on this site ;))
Also nobody knows we are going through this soo you guys are my only friends!!!
I had a laparoscopy in July 2006 after the HSG showed that my left tube was closed. My RE sulfugate the left tube since he said that it gives better chances with IUI and IVF because no toxic fluid goes where the embryo is.
then we did in August,September and October 3 cycles of IUI with 100 mg Clomid and it did not work (.
In january we did IVF #1.Everything looked good,I responded well to the meds (follistim and Menopur+ganirelix)I had 35 eggs retrieved,22 fertilized and on day 5 I had 6 embryos left.
they transfered 2 and froze 3 (1 did not make it past day 6).
my first Beta was 27.5 and it doubled without any problem. They did not see a sac at 6 weeks and 5 days and then decided that it was ectopic. At 6 weeks 6 days they actually saw the sac that was already pretty big (3cm).
It took 2 Meth shot and now 3 month to get my beta to 29.5 and it has to go down to 0!!!!
regarding the tube my RE was pretty aggressive (I'm already 34 years old).he said he was going to give a 3 month try with Clomid and then he jumped to IVF.
I was ok with it since we relly want to have a baby ...BUT here I am stuck for more than 3 month...
Best luck to you and super sticky baby dust,
M
