Prometrium (Progestrone)
I have been taking a vaginal dose of prometrium at night before bed now for about a week . My husband was not too shy to mention to me that on a romantic evening together while having an oral sex moment that I happened to taste different. Has anyone ever been told that this medication could make them taste like a copper penny? That would be the only thing that has changed in my daily routine, I just wanna make sure that there is nothing more serious going on with me.
Hey girl. No unfortunately im not preggers yet. I started my period 5 days late, and was just an emotional rollercoaster ride. I have an appt for an ultra sound monday to see if I have fibroid tumors, since there is a history with my mom they think there could be a link there with me too. Im sorry you had to stop taking the meds due to that hun. Whats the next step for you ? Im just getting so frustrated I wanna stop trying. Everywhere i go anymore women are pregnant, now another girl in my salon is pregnant, its constantly in my face, and feel like a terrible person, its so hard for me to be happy for her when im green with envy, and thats so not like me. I so feel like charlotte from sex in the city.
hey how is the progesterone treating you??? hopefully better than me!! i had to stop taking them they were getting sick.... so are you pregnant at the moment or TTC???
Well I will start off by saying I am taking progestrone due to the mulitiple miscarriages I have had and my NP had found my levels being oddly low, so she told me to start taking this prescription vaginally. On the other hand to comment back to 30something13, I had not taken the prescription yet when my husband was down there, it was valentines day and planned my night wisely. I had showered and waited on taking my dosage. Still trying to figure if the promentrium would have this effect on me when i have never been in the bad tasting/smelling vaginal dept.
He should not go down there when you hav eit in you my dear! It is hormones and though the meds absorb in the first 15 mins th rest is not edible by any means!!! I would save it for after you have a shower and have washed real good down there!!!!
I thought the Prometrium was a pill and the progesterone was either a cream or suppositories? I ahve taken all three
I take mine for a luteal phase defect, I ahve a slow rise and short luteal phase. Then since my progesterone is low I must take it my whole pregnancy as well. This is #5 and the first time I have taken it and not crontracted or bleed or thrown up the whole time or had severe dehydration no matter what I would drink. Which are all signs of low progesterone during pregnancy
