Provera?????

EVERYTHING I have read about Provera says do not take in first 4 months of pregnancy or if trying to get pregnant.  has anyone been put on this w/a possibility of being pregnant or ttc?  
i dont understand why doc would prescribe this

Thank you ladies so much!!! Whew!!! It is so comforting to hear that.  Yes i am pretty irregular but this is my longest cycle since my surgery in jan. Prior to my surgery and when af finally came after the surgery i averaged/average about 41 day cycles according to mmc
do you know if you can take provera with vitex? i am on my 3rd bottle of fertilaid which has vitex and i figure i might as well finish it so i can know it didn't work for me and leave that chapter alone going forward in this tedious journey

I have taken Provera many times. My OB/GYN and RE always had me take a pregnancy test or they did blood work to confirm I was not PG before I started the pill. I am about to take it for I believe the 6th or 7th time. It was not that bad for me. It was just waiting for AF to come that was the worse for me. But I also am WAY irregular and have gone a year without AF so it is a way for me to start back up on the clomid again.

I have taken it many times this year, b/c I am ttc.  They always make me test before another prescription of it to make sure I am not preggers.  It is a great simpler way to invite AF on.  If you are anything like me, I was not seeing AF without Provera.

The Dr's just want to make sure you are NOT prego when you take Provera cause it CAN cause deformaties to the fetus!!!  Not when you are TRYING tp grt preggers!!! I have taken it 3 times this year and wil be doing round #4 next week!!!
