Cervical Mucus

I will first start off by saying that, I am not TTC but I am just wondering about this. Since early Saturday morning when having sex with my boyfriend, he noticed for the first time that I had a fluid that was white and creamy [like lotion] coming from my vagina. He also fingered me last night, and I had alot of this white creamy fluid. What is this? I have never noticed this before. He said he also felt something long and hard inside of me. Is that my cervix?

I am currently taking Aygestin 5mg since May 7. I was prescribed that by my GYN to stop my bleeding. Could the pills affect my body and cause this lotion type fluid? Any info ladies?

Thanks!!! =]

I was on 10 mg of Aygestin for 21 days and I have to say, it was probably the worst 21 days of my life.  I suffered extreme fatigue, deep depression, insomnia and I ate like an INSANE person.  But enough about me, back to your question.

The answer is yes, aygestin can and does affect your cervical mucus.  It thickens the cervical mucus to inhibit sperm penetration. Sperm needs the clear egg white mucus to travel through the cervix, uterus and fallopian tubes.  If there is no EWCM the sperm just kinda swims in place.

Thanks for your reply. I saw the cervical mucus on his fingers [TMI sorry!] and the color was like white, maybe shiny and very wet. I am on this medicen for 30 days twice a day and then I start BC pills with my next period. I missed one pill last week, and I missed my dose this morning already. So I have to start out fresh tonight. Oh and that long hard thing inside me, thats my cervix right?? Thanks

Since the aygestin thickens your mucus, it would be white like lotion instead of clear like egg whites.  And yes that was your cervix.  Everybody's is a little different. Some are more round and flat and some stick out more.  It will also change shape and texture throughout your cycle.

If you are interested knowing more about your cervix follow the link below.  At the bottom the the page there will be three links with pics of people cervix at different times in there cycle. It is really graphic, but I found it incredibly interesting.  I hardly new anything about my body before I started trying to conceive and I found this web page really helpful/interesting.  Best of luck to you and I wouldn't worry.  What you are experiencing sounds completely normal.
