my uodate from RE

well, what a day I had. I live in upstate new york and the weather is awful, was supposed to go to RE @ 645 this AM to check uterine lining in prep for IVF, I cancelled as the roads were awful and rescheduled for 11 am, now mind you my RE is 86 miles so it takes a good hour and  a half, anyway.. I leave work, with my boss :) she came with me, we get half way there, and decide to turn back, tractor trailers 4 of them were off the road! YIKES!!! anway.. I called my regular OB/GYN they got me in to do ultrasound, and faxed  it over to RE. he said lining was at 10... looked beautfiul, and they want at least a 7, so... things are moving right along.    I have to call friday for an update on the donor. they said tenativley her retreival will be on the 10th of december. I willl be sure to keep everyone posted// also... tina1111 and whomever else, If this works for me, I have 6 unopened gonal F pens, if you decide to move forward with IUI, or Ivf they are yours for the taking!!!

Hi babyprayers. I don't know if you still have the pens but if you do can you give them to me? I have used gonal f with a pen for 5 days 150 mg. If they are still available i can really use them. Thanks

Hi babyprayers,

Gosh, that's really nasty weather!!  Hopefully, we'll all pray for great (or at least drivable) weather on the 10th.  Your lining sounds GREAT - too bad the donor couldn't use those gonal-f pens - DARN IT!  Good luck & much ssbd to you!!! - jennifer

WOW! What weather! I'm so glad it didn't impede your plans, whew. I am so excited for you. I am praying with all my might that this is it. I'm still not sure which direction I'm going. I really can't afford the IVF as my crappy insurance doesn't pay a penny.

Good luck w/ your retrieval and transfer. We did a donor cycle (now two years ago) and have a beautiful 20 month old, and just did a FET w/ one blast put in and have a positive prego test so far. SOOOO excited for you!

This weekend it was rainy and windy but it is always windy here.  The cloud cover actually kept it pretty warm tho.  This week the mornings are cold but afternoons warm up.  Someone told me the low for tomorrow is 29 and the high is 74. Isn't that crazy??  Dh is from NY and constantly complains that it is too warm/hot here.  Even when it is gorgeous outside he will complain because it is too late in the season to be this nice.   Me on the other hand, I break out the scarf and hat when it gets under 50.

So have you decided how many embryos you are going to transfer?  Two or three is the standard isn't it?  If there is enough are you going to freeze any?

I too live in upstate new york, so I completly relate to the storm issue.  Thankfully my RE lives jsut miles from my house, I know I am spoiled.  Good Luck with your procedure - what a wonderful christmas it will be for you with a BFP.  SSBD!

I just wanted to wish you good luck this cycle.  I used to live in Ithaca and I know that snow storms in upstate NY can totally paralyze everything.  I hope that everything will go smoothly from here for you.
