How to use Ovulation Kits

Hello Everyone
I have been TTC for almost a year now, i have had 2 mc and 1 that ended in having a d&c. I have not gone to see a fertility specialist so i  am not sure whats going on. This month i wanted to do something new, start OPK's and i am clueless on how to do that. The last time AF was here was october 27th and it was for 5day and i want to know how to start using ovulation test and stuff like that. Also one more question i have these prenatal vitamins from before should i keep taking them i really want to get pregnant so i will try anything. Please let me know any info; thank you so much. SSBD to you all and goodluck

Does anyone have any advice on when I should use my op test if I don't know my cycle?  Been off the pill for 2 months, first AF came when it should have (according to when it would have if I was on the pill) but my second one is 3 days late.  Took a pregnancy test 2 days ago and was neg.  I may have jumped the gun with the preg test, but either way, it was negative :(

The clearblue easy ovulation predictor kit works very well. A little expensive but it does give me 2 Peak days.I hope all works out well for you.

Please remember opks don't work for everyone.  I ovulate but have never gotten a + with a home kit.

GOOD LUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I would continue taking the prenatals. As for the OPKs, it's pretty easy if you have a regular cycle. They usually contain an insert that tells you when to start using them, depending on how long your cycles are. Ideally, you should not use first morning urine, since LH (which is what the OPKs detect) is metabolized in your body in the first part of the day. Just make sure you try to limit your liquid intake and don't pee for about three or four hours before testing (so the urine won't be too diluted). That's pretty much it. Once you get a test line that is the same color or darker than the control line, you've detected the surge, and will probably ovulate within 48 hours (usually the following day). Good luck!
