problems concieving after depo

My husband and I have been trying to get pregnant for about 7 years now at first I thought that it was him that was having the problem since i already have a child but we just found out that taking depo can affect conceiving years after you stop taking it . Is this true and what if anything can improve our chances of getting pregnant? I was on depo for about 3yrs.

HI,
I was on depo with my fisrt child when I got pregnant only 3 weeks after being off if the shot.Actually they say that you are more fertile when you first get off the shot because of the change in your hormones. There isnt really anything to my knowledge that will improve your chances other than regular diet, and excersize. You will have to keep your body as healthy as possible.
Everyones bodies are different so there really isnt a real anwser for you, my advise would be to contact your ob/gyn , schedule an appt, and see what physically is possible for you.
Good luck to you! I hope you the best!!!!

I myself am looking for information on getting pregnant after a tubal I had done in 2003, I had a tubal clamp and my new husband would like to have a child. Any suggestions?

Hello,
I was on Depo in 1996-1997 and came off it thinking I would have trouble conceiving.  Sure enough here I am ten years later still TTC.  I will be starting my first IVF retrieval this week and very excited but whatever happens happens at this point.  I have been in the depths of despair and back again.  I am wore out.  I asked the same question about Depo prevented pregnancy and of course I get a NO, no such thing.  I bet it does, because I am the only person in my family to have and trouble conceiving.  I will be 38 in Dec and feeling pressure never thought I would be this age trying to conceive my first born but am feeling very blessed because I know now the time is perfect for my husband and myself to start a family.
