Tissue during menstrual cycle

About 10 months ago I had two miscarriages. One right after the other. My husband and I have just started trying again and of course I am terrified. My periods have always been extremely painful. I had one doctor's office tell me I had a cyst on my ovary that could be causing the pain. My job changed insurance plans and I had to go to a dr in Philadelphia and they said there was nothing on my ovaries. If I do not take pain medicine before my pain starts I ended up getting physically sick un able to get off of the floor until the medicine kicks in. I have kind of just accepted this and made sure to medicate early but this cycle I have noticed that within my clotting (which is also normal for me) there was a small tissue like substance. I did touch it to be sure and it was thicker and lighter in color than a normal clot. Now I am worried! Could this mean something is wrong with me? It was a small amount. Endometriosis does not run in my family as far as I know. Should I ask for further testing? The first two times I got pregnant it happened very easily this month it did not happen.

My dr did that for me - the progesterone just as a 'in case' that was it.  I was told I should take the baby aspirin every day of my pregnancy.  Good luck to you.

I agree with Diane1003 I would talk to you OB about taking childrens dose of aspirin daily until 12 weeks also if you have had 2 previous miscarriages I would ask to be put on a progesterone supplement as soon as you find out your pregnant until 12wks. Low progesterone is the number one reason why women miscarry.

I had two miscarriages back to back about a year and a half ago.  I hadn't ever really noticed anything with my periods -but occassionally there would be clots.  After testing it was found I have a blood clotting issue for which I was told to take baby aspirin.  I went on to have a healthy pregnancy and have a healthy son.  Have you had any testing done - has your dr said anything about taking baby aspirin?
