Hi, I have been reading some past posts and reailze I'm not at all farmiliar with a lot of the lingo. You had mentioned you just rcvd a positive beta and just figured out that's your first blood test to confirm pregnancy, right?
I feel so out of it not knowing what it all means, like PUPO????
-Anyway, I wanted to say I owe you a huge CONGRATULATIONS??? Also on your new home. Wishing you all the best.
I've seen others mention taking a hpt and have been told by others not to bother because it can cause a false positive. Have you heard this?
Congratulations!!! =)
Hope all goes well for you. Your first??
Thanks so much for the response. That's the thing. I wasn't digging on line because I didn't want to freak myself out but now all I see is the word Risk, to me to the baby(ies). It taking the exitement of anticipation out of it.
Last year almost to the date, I started with IUIs and on the first try became pregnant. I felt cramps all the time thinking it was normal because of the uterous stretching, but lost the baby the day I was supposed go in for my first prenate visit.
I am feeling confident that everthing has fallen into place this time. It's my age that gets me.
Oh, and 1 was a 3 day transfer.
How far along are you?
I transferred 4 embryos on day 3 and now I am 9 weeks with twins.
Good luck to you!!!! I hope ivf works for you.
Was it a 5-day transfer or a 3-day? I'd say don't pay attention to cramping or sore breasts or any of the typical pregnancy symptoms or don't even look for them. They don't mean much as progesterone could be causing it too. I just got my positive beta yesterday and had no typical pregger symptoms. I'd say sit back enjoy being PUPO. And, internet is the devil, the more you read about things, the crazier you get. I am speaking from my own experience. I've stopped reading blogs online. I've met some amazing ladies on here who are going through the same thing and I keep in touch with.
As far as risk of multiples, the risk stand even if you transfer one embryo. In your case, doctors are making sure that you have the highest chance of pregnancy. Please don't drive yourself crazy, wait for the expert's advice after your beta. The best person to talk here Ginger077, she had a four embie transfer as well. I wish you the best and get that BFP!
