1 week of positive OPKs? What's going on?

Hi. I'm 26 years old, and my husband and I have been trying to conceive our second child. With our first, we lucked out and got pregnanct on our first try. Now, we have been trying since September of 2008. I have been using OPKs since then, and getting a positive always on CD 16. My cycles are 29 days long. This month everything changed. MY LMP came on March 3rd. On March 16th, I had a positive OPK, and the same the next day. It was only positive in the morning, never any other time of the day. I had 2 days of light spotting right after March 16th, on March 17th and 18th. But I kept doing the OPK, as I hadn't noticed much mucus discharge and didn't believe I was ovulating. On March 24th, I started to notice the famous "eggwhite" discharge. On March 25th, I started to get a positive and since then, now March 30th I am still getting a positive any time of the day I check. We have been beding since then, but I'm not sure if I have or will ovulate. What might be happening with my body? Should we keep having sex? Should I see a doctor? I just did a HPT this morning and it was negative. I'm lost!

I'm on clomid for the first round 5-9 I ovulate on my own day 32-35, but been ttc for 3 yrs with no lucky so dr put me on clomid which I started on 5/5/12 and finished on 09/05/12 I started using okps clearblue digital on the 12/05/12 and got a positive smiley face I dont have poly cystic syndrome.
and the samething happened again on 13,14,15,16,17 and 18 been getting a opk positive and been feeling very bloated and cramping for one week and still feeling the pain is this normal? or there is somthing wrong with me I have not done pg test as it is to early? I will appriciate any respond thank you

How are doing? I hope everything is ok with you. I just got some good news today: BFP!!! But I am worried because I am cramping quite a bit. Tomorrow I'll go for a blood test. I'll keep you posted!

That's was funny!!! I'm with on that...anything I can pee on I will!!!! My OPK was negative tonight and so was the HPT...I'll check again in the morning for both...maybe I'll have some luck with that!

I might would take another hpt? I'm stumped. My opk's were getting + the day after I got a + hpt. Yes, I still pee'd on them, anything I could pee on I did! Maybe check hpt again :)

I can't believe....I still have a positive today. I scheduled an appointment with my doctor for this Thursday afternoon. There has to be something wrong with me, and that's why I haven't been able to get pregnant...

I haven't been taking my BBT, but I will definitely start doing that next month. If I had, I would feel a lot better now, but I'm starting to wonder if there is something wrong with me and that's why we haven't been able to conceive...

It is not uncommon to have 3 days of positives. But a week is a different story. Are you taking your BBT so you know for sure that you did ovulate?

Unfortunately, the line is darker than the control line! My husband even asked if maybe that means I'm pregnant, considering I could have ovulated on the 16th...but we got a BFN...that's why it's so weird what is happening to me! I even bought another box of tests, just in case we got a bad one...but the results were the same: positive!
Thank you though for responding! I'll keep you posted on what happens. I'll test tonight and tomorrow again, and hopefuly, we'll get a negative OPK (while I am always looking for a positive, this time I'm looking for a negative! Who knows when I, or if, I ovulated!) I'll do a HPT on April 7th...maybe I'll have some good news after all these positives!

I have no idea why you would be getting positive OPK's for a week. Are you sure they are positive - where the test line is darker than the control line? Most of the time, you might see two lines, but it is only positive if the test line is as dark as or darker than the control line. I hope this helps :)
