PABA? Why are you taking PABA? I remember all the controversy over it in the late 70's and early 80's. Most products went "PABA free". Is there a fertility connection with it? All I have ever heard is about the sunscreen, connective tissue and grey hair connections.
If your FSH is elevated DHEA may be helpful. I have read that it needs to be microlized pharmacy grade DHEA, not the king you buy at vitamin stores. I posted some links yesterday, I will see if I run across them today. I have them in my computer at home and I am at work. I know they are here on a post to 35momofboys, if I can just find them, lol.
Hi there- I am 35 and right now I am taking 1200mg of Vitex, 200mg of PABA and Solaray Female Caps which are raw glandular concentrate. I saw DHEA in Vitaminshoppe and had no idea if it something I should take with everything else I am taking??????????????????????????????
Dehydroepiandrosterone popular as DHEA is a steroid and is the precursor of all sex hormones. It is naturally synthesized from cholesterol in the adrenal gland located atop the kidneys besides gonads, brain, skin and the adipose tissue under the skin. With increased marriageable age of the women worldwide and delayed motherhood, much research studies are on going in various fertility laboratory clinics pertaining to thwarting infertility and inducing fertile egg production even after 35 which the egg reserves go downhill.
I don't know how old you are, it isn't listed on your profile. DHEA is naturally produced by your body, but production slows the older we get. I am 41, which for ttc standards is getting too old. I take it. But, it is not for everyone. If you are young, I would not take it. You are supposed to have your levels tested prior to taking it as many ladies do not need it. If you are older, in the AMA category, the recommended dose is 50mg in the am and 25mg in the pm. It is supposed to be pharmacy grade microlized DHEA. If you are interested in more info, I have plenty to share :0)
