Thanks for the input!
tina1111 - I also O on my own. So I guess there is definitely a reason why he prescribed it for me those particular days, but others take it starting CD5. I'm just trying to get around taking Clomid while on vacation. I feel like my cycle is gonna been shorter than normal this month causing me to have CD 3, 4 & 5 while on vacation in Las Vegas. Not sure I want my first experience with Clomid to be while on vacation. However, I'm rather desperate to try it since I have a laparoscopy scheduled for Aug 20 and really, really want to get pregnant to avoid that horrible surgery.
Thanks for the info.

I took mine cd 3-7 in order to bring ovulation on sooner in my very long cycles.
In the beginning (back in the 60's), it was only rx'd cd 5-9. Later, through experimenting, they found it does different things for different women at different times in their cycle. In some women, taking it earlier will make more follicles. In some women, taking it later will make a stronger o with a better quality follicle. Some drs still just stick with cd5-9.
I o on my own, so the dr rx'd it for me early in the cycle.
i think its day 1-5 of your cycle. thats what my gp told me. to increase your hormone levels for ovulation on day 14. it has side effects apparently.
anyway, ask a gp if you want a correct answer.or ggogle it!
thanks Nicky
