any chance? any hope? cry for help

Hello I have pcos due to high levels of testosterone, my levels are measuring at 65.9 something like that I don't really understand but no cyst where found in my sonogram thank God just many follicles.... Anyways Ive been taking 1000 mg of metformin for a exactly a month and i can't go no higher than that because I would get really bad side affects like vomitting and the pills for extended release scares me because you can't cut them up and I choke really easily.. anyways I have seen no results with metformin I have never got my period on my own and decided to give bc pills a break since I am trying to conceive now. Now are there any other optiona out there beside metformin that can help me get a period and ovulute to conceive? Thank you much appreciated.

Another pill they can put you on in addition to Metformin is Clomid. I have PCOS and am not over weight either and this is what my doc is going to put me on. The issue is you have to take Clomid on days 5-9 of your cycle and if you do not have a period you can't start Clomid. This is where I am currently at, waiting for my period. If I do not get a period by next Thursday my doc is going to put me on Progesterone for 10 days. Progesterone should help induce a period for me within 10 days of when I stop taking it. Then I can take the Clomid on days 5-9. My doc is going to start me on a dose of 50 and if that doesn't work she will move me up to a higher dose from there. Good luck.

Not sure if this applies to you, but I know it is an issue with some girls who suffer from PCOS. If you are over weight it might help to lose weight and get down to a healthy weight. Good luck to you!
