Now im at a stage where ive been trying to get pregnant for the past 7 months and within those seven months ive been perscribed birth control..because my doctor said the only reason why i dont get my periods is because i have polysistic syndrom (cyst) on my ovaries...told them i hate taking BC and they always tell me Birth control is the only way to get rid of the cyst...but if im taking birth co trol how am i supposd to get pregnant?????

I have pcos. Do u also have insulin resistance? Get checked out for it. I started taking metformin for both the pcos and insulin resistance and got pregnant within the first 3 months on it. My son is now 19 months. I still take metformin and my periods have regulated to every 2 months. I too used to go 6 months between periods and was prescribed birth control. It actually makes it worse. I've never felt better.
