How long is a normal cycle. Do I count from the first day of my last period to the next time I start?

A "normal" cycle is anywhere from 25-32 days. That being said, it's really about what's normal for you.

First day of bleeding is Day 1.  First day of bleeding the following month is new Day 1.

If you have only a little spotting in the evening, start the next day.
