My doctor put me on progesterone to start my period.. I started then on the third day of my cycle I started taking ClomiPHENE and I had an unusal feeling and decided to take a pregnancy test. It was positive.. I am having heavy bleeding and cramping along with lower back pain. Should I be alarmed?

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
There is no negative effect of progesterone on pregnancy as it is the hormone required for sustaining pregnancy and is sometimes prescribed when miscrarriage is suspected. However take it under your gynecologist’s guidance.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor.  I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.

If you're pregnant and have bleeding and cramping, you should contact your doctor. How many days past ovulation are you? Or how many days after your expected period?
