does clomid work?

i started clomid today. for 5days i will be off them on on the 20th of this month. but my husband will go out of town on the 18th of the month and will come back the 24th. what are the odds of this working? i was told to have sex on the 14th day up till the 20th day which is two weeks after my period? on the 24th i will still be on my 11th day from the 14th day plan. i was planning of having sex everyday. im just afraid i will miss the window :( how is it that clomid workd 2weeks after i take it? please help? and will i lose my chances if i miss that week my husband is gone?

Yes clomid does work for some people depending on the quality of your husband's sperm. I had a friend that used clomid for only 2 months and got pregnant.

ur second wow how long did it take u to get pregnant? and did you have history of misscarrages. i can get  pregnant i had 3 misscarrages before is hard for me to get pregnant and and also hold them i hope clomid works for me. my huband is much older than me his 42 and im 24  he is a driver so im not sure if his age has something to do.

Hi,

Yes, Clomid works. On my second cycle of clomid I got pregnant with twins. My husband and I had sex almost every other day in order to build up his sperm count. We started on CD8 and continued until CD16 or so. I would say you guys have a decent chance. Good luck!

I've heard it was best to have sex every other day to rebuild the quality of the sperm. I've been trying every other day since cycle day 8. This is my first month on clomid and we're hoping this does the trick!!! Did you have any side effects?
