I've heard of success with clomid but it didn't work for me. Most doctors will let you try it for three months. Like the other person posted a semen analysis is an easy test and can rule out problems with your DH. I know it turned out to be one of the main reasons we weren't getting pregnant. Using ovulation predictor kits are very useful and easy. Studies have shown acupuncture is also effective if you can find someone who specializes in fertility. It also relieves stress that we all have ttc for long periods of time. Hope this helps and good luck on your ttc journey.
Hi,
Clomid worked to make me produce more follicles. Have you been monitored at all while you've been on it to ensure you are definitely ovulating, either by progesterone blood work or by ultrasound?
Also, has your partner had a semen analysis done? It may not be all you. My DH has very poor sperm, even though we managed to conceive our DD naturally. It's been 5.5 years of trying for a second and we've moved on to IUI's and may need IVF.
There is another drug similar to clomid, called Letrozole, that works pretty much the same. I know that you aren't supposed to take clomid for too many months in a row, as it can be very hard on your body. My Dr. has a limit of 3 months in a row.
Good Luck
