failed ivf

After my first ivf shots I only ended up with 2 eggs and couldn't proceed.  The doctor tripled the meds on my second try.  They said I had 11 eggs and would retrieve them.  They only ended up with 3 eggs.  They actually all made it through a 5 day blasocyst.  The day of transfer only 2 were great one quit developing.  I was so excited.  I have been trying to get pregnant for 10 1/2 years due to unexplained infertility.  I had many signs it was taking.  Two days before our pregnancy test I began to have a headache and chilling.  I felt better in the morning.  The morning of our pregnancy test I began spotting brown. The pregnancy test came back borderline and they made me come back for another one in 2 days, it ended up negative.  Do you think I should try again from the beginning of ivf. If so how long do you think I should wait.  My body is barely getting back to normal after 3 months.

Thank you so much for all of your incouragement!  I'm trying so hard to be positive.  I loved how Cynthia said, " what do you have to lose".  I guess thats a great way to think of it!  LilyMF thank you for saying "it would be a shame to quit now"  that gives me more motivation to keep on going with fertility treatments.  Mybabypooh thank you for letting me know that your still trying after your 3rd time it also gives me more motivation to keep trying.  I will keep in touch with anything new that happens and Thank You again from the bottom of my heart.

Hi, I am on my 4th try with IVF and in my TWW now and if it fails, I will be trying again. I totally agree with LilyMF, if you are able to go through it again financially and emotionally, do it:-)
Gook Luck:-)

If you are able to go through IVF financially and emotionally I would do it again.  You have been trying for so long, it would be a shame to quit now. Speak with your doctor about when it would be a good time for you to restart.   I wish you luck, I know what it is like to want a baby and not be able to get it the normal way.  Trust in God that it will happen for you.

Hi Jenny...yes, you should definately try again...what do you have to lose...I had my first failed IVF cycle in September and now I am going in tomorrow for my second retrieval...there is still a chance that I won't become pregnant but I am going to continue trying...all you need is one good egg...I started my second cycle as soon as my period came the following month...

I had a lot of signs too and I actually thought I was pregnant but that is just the progesterone, as it has the same side effects as pregnancy does...good luck and keep me posted.
