false positive w femara 2.5 cd 3-7??

Hi Ladies-

I'm just wondering if anyone has heard of getting a false positive HPT with femara...
I started 2.5mg femara cd 3-7.. had a +opk on 8/10.. for some reason i decided to take a hpt today and i can't believe my eyes.. it came back + .. so i took another hpt with  a different brand and that came back BFP too...i don't want to get too excited in case the femara can cause a false +

...thoughts?!?!?!?!

Thanks! Yeah, I took an OPK test again on day 13 and it was neg. That is when I usually get my digital ovulation tests to say a positive. So I well believe that the day 10 one was correct. It is the evening of chart day 15 for me. So I am only 3- 5 days past ovulation. I don't know the actual date of ovulation because I don't do the BBT's anymore. it became to stressful for me. But I am hopeful! I will wait till my expected period before I will do a HPT test. We have been trying for 3 years, so the let down of an early test is to hard! lol! Thanks for the best wishes! I've heard of people getting a BFP 10 DPO, but i think it's more common to see a BFP at least 12 DPO.. good luck!!!

Hi all. This is my second month on Femara. I just found this website today. I took clear blue easy digital ovulation tests. My first month on Femara I didn't get a positive OPK. But I tried again this month. We got a positive OPK on Friday which is really early for me! CD 10 - I usually Ovulate on CD 13 or 14. It is too early for me to do a HPT. I am going to an OB and not an RE yet. Dr. said he would refer us to the RE if this doesn't work. I am very hopeful that this month worked!! We visit the Dr. again on Sept 17! Just wanted to share my story! I will be praying for you all!

Femara will not cause a false positive... Congrats on your pregnancy! :)

I took femara on CD 3-7 also and never heard anything about getting a false positive from it! Sounds like this might be the BFP you have been looking for!! Whoo hoo!

oh really! I am actually going to start it this month...I think you should call/visit your Dr at th earliest...good luck to you and keep us posted!!
