Metformin is for individuals who are insulin resistant. I have been taking Metformin since January when I was diagnosed with PCOS. The Metformin helps to regulate my insulin, and in turn, it helps me to ovulate. PCOS leads to issues ovulating regularly or on your own. Being insulin resistant does not mean that I am diabetic, just the issue with my ovaries and ovulation.
