how quickly can you improve sperm quality/count

dp has low sperm motility/ vitaity but a high count.  he has started taking vit e, zinc, c, maca root and folic acid but he is going for another semen analysis in just 4 wks time so he will have only been taking these vits for 6 weeks prior to the test.  Will these vits have any affect on the test results?  or will we have to wait 3 mths before seeing any changes?

New sperm from any diet change will take 3 months to tell a diff based on the diet change.  Also tell dh to take selenium and l-arginine.  Those 2, along with the others you mentioned, were my dh's cocktail for better sperm.  And it did work.

Good luck to ya!

I think sometimes SA can change in 6 weeks, but like bny said it usually does take 3 months. My DH was given clomid to try and increase his numbers. He started having side effects so our RE did a SA after 6 weeks. DH's count went from 20 million to 3 million in 6 weeks. I'm hoping his numbers will go back to his normal within 6 weeks. Good luck I hope the vitamins help!

for complete turnover it will take 3 months, but you may be able to see some improvement by then, its hard to say! our results changed a little during 6 weeks, as do many peoples! GOOD LUCK! : )
