infertility & depo-provera

Is depo-provera linked with infertility!  I am a 24 and at the age of 20, I had 2 injections of depo-provera.  Ever since, my period could me counted as almost none except when I am extreamely stress wich happen only 2 times.  Other than that, nothing.

I had a physical, inner & outer ultrasound & blood word and everthing was A1.  So my doctor thinks I might be infertile.

Before taking depo-provera, my periods were normal.

I know I have other problems as well just like AD.. said but i took the shot for 4yrs and now i been off for 5yrs and i have never ever been pregnant! but everyone is different my SIL got 3 injections and it took her just 12 months to get pregnant!  I believe it messes u up i have read some horrible things about it but i do believe too after so many years you will know something else is going on with ur body too not just that! birth control pills or taking vitex should help get you regular again ask your dr to see he may put you on b/c pills if not go to the healfood store and get vitex and try it for a couple months and see!

I can't tell you if it is linked with infertility. But I was on Depo for about 4 years and it really screwed me up! I'd only have a period once every 3 months and they'd last 3 weeks at a time. I was diagnosed with PCOS though.... and have only had 1 pregnancy in 5 - 6 years, which ended in a m/c. Maybe your dr can get you regular again, and you will get pregnant.
