Like Irish says, when you get the surge you should ovulate 12-36 hrs later (but up to 48 hrs).  So you could have ovulated as early as Wednesday evening or as late as Friday afternoon, but was most likely Thursday.

I had the same thing happen this month and did not BD until the day OPK turned negative.  And AF just came.

I usually start count to AF with day after surge.  So if surge was 14, I start with 15.  Not everyone's luteal phase is exact though, mine is usually 12 but sometimes 11.  So if my cycle goes beyond 28 days (the longest),  then I'll use the HPT.

I used an OPK this month too. From what I read once you see your surge you O about 12-36 hours after. My surge fell a couple days before my scheduled O date of CD14 so I just counted CD 14 as my O date. Not sure when it really happened though, which ***** because I am not entirely positive when AF is due. I am giving AF a 2-3 day window before I start to think she is late. That is the best info I have so far. Hope that helps a bit. :)

Good luck in getting a BFP!!!
