I have been on Leuprolide for about 6 weeks, trying to lower my estrogen before moving onto the next phase of IVF. Has anyone out there experienced having a "higher than normal" estrogen level?

Yes I had my IU done last week on Monday, the procedure was not painful at all, but two days after I had lots of cramping. I had my trigger shot two days before and also a blood test the same day. Haven't had anything else since then and I am just waiting

Hi Maria,
I read that you have done your first IUI, how did it go? Was it painful? Did you take a trigger shot two days prior? Did you have a PCT test done the next day?
I have my first IUI tomorrow and I was just wondering since I am new to this.
Thanks!
Anya.

Chrissie, sorry to hear your IVF failed. This year my husband and I changed docto we weren't please with the bedside manner of our firt RE, but yes we are trying again. This new doctor approach is different. He suggested to try IUI first which we did and we are just waiting.
Thanks,
Maria

I am in the same postion, with hubby & have just had my first IVF failed.
It seems that it is quite rare for first to work,
Hang in there I am gonna do another one as soon as I have had 2 normal AFS which I am waiting for the first now.
Good luck, are you gonna do another cycle?

I know its hard but we just need to try & be strong this is a good site everyone is so supportive.

Take care
Chrissie x

hi there , I had  IVF done last year, and as you can see no luck whatsoever, they transfer 3 embryos the first tme and later 3 more. I know how all of this feels, after that we where heart broken. It is hard to wait to take the pregnancy tests, when they do IVF and are testing for pregnancy they go by quantified (by numbers on your blood work) to find out if you are pregnant or not, sometimes these number are low because is too early and they might come up on the second test. So don't feel discourage may be the second test will be positive have faith and good luck.

I actually do not know all that much about ivf.  But I have a friend who has gone through 2 rounds of IVF.  From what she said, 8 days post transfer may possibly be too early.  She told me that for her second round of ivf, she had a negative result, then a few days later a positive one.  Have you spoken to your doctor about this?
