First RE APt!!

Well i just got back from my first RE appointment, and I am so excited, I really liked him and I feel like we have some hope again! after getting bad news after bad news, I hope that this month will bring at least a glimmer of hope back!       He is going to put me on femara days 3-7, then go in and have an ultrasound to check for follies then if there is a good one i'll get i think a trigger shot (he said something ovu something or other) and said i'd ovulate 39 hours after that.. then he wants me to come in for a post -coital test that next day and if its bad results we'll do IUI that next day! Then progesterone Supp at night from O on..... So thats the plan for this month, I hope that we fix some of our problems and it works for us!   Has anyone else ever done anything simliar to this?    That post coital test makes me nervous! Gosh I hope my work schedule will be flexible this next month!

Most excellent!!!  Sounds like your RE has a good plan for you!!!  Keep calm now.  And we'll all say a little prayer and send some baby dust.

I am so happy for you.  It sounds like your doctor is really taking care of you and has put a good plan in place.  I hope it works for you.  I'm starting cycle 3 of my Femara today and have a follow-up doctor's appointment this morning, so I've been planning to ask for the ultrasound and possibly trigger shot this month too.  We just want to do timed intercourse for now, so I want to make sure the Femara is working and up our chances as much as possible.  I've never had a post coital, but I've heard they are no big deal.  Pretty much like your annual exam.  I know you've been through a lot lately, so I'll be praying that this will be your month!  Keep us posted.

Thank yall so much!! I sure hope that something will do the trick! I'm ready for some good news after all the beatings of bad news we've had!   I just dont' want to get my hopes up too high, its hard to take anymore dissapointment!! Thank yall! and good luck to yall too!

That is very exciting.  I'm glad you like your RE.  It sounds like he is defintely going full steam ahead with you.  Don't be nervous about the post coital, I'm sure it'll be a cake walk.  The best thing of all is, things are moving forward and your on your way to a bfp.  Good luck.

That is VERY exciting! It is so nice to have a "plan" it sounds like this RE took you very seriously and is not wasting any time :) that's great! I have never had the test you were talking about but much luck to you-it sounds like things are going your way!!
