long/heavy period after provera and taking clomid...

I am trying to concieve. I have been for about 6 years. I finally went to a gyno about this problem. My periods have always been irregular my whole life. I only had about 6 by the age of 17 before I got pregnant w/my son & then just maybe 1 period a year after that. But there was 1 time that I had a period for 3 mo straight and it was very heavy!!! I had to take Loestrin 3 times/day for a week to stop my period & I havent had one since then. ( which is about a year since my last period) So my doctor gave me provera (medroxyprogesterone) to take for 10 days to induce a period. I finally got my period a week later and I am on my 6th day now. I called n asked a nurse at my dr office 2 see if i could count spotting as CD 1 & she said it wouldnt matter if i counted it as day 1 or the day a blood red period came as cd1 so I decided to go w/ counting the day a blood red period came as cd1 so in saying that..2morrow I will start my 1st round of clomid. I was a little heavy for about 3 days but for the most part its what i would call normal but I am very worried that I will have a long period &that it will not lighten up or stop by the time I take my last clomid pill because then I wouldnt be able2 have sex to try to get pregnant and I dont want this first clomid round to be kind of a waste.  if I do bleed for a long time, How could I benefit from clomid if I can't have sex after taking clomid if I am still bleeding? Can someone please help me on what I should do if Im still bleeding after my last clomid pill?  I am very anxious to get pregnant and I would not want a long/heavy period to interfere with that. If my doctor has to stop my period some how, before trying to conceieve again, will I have to induce another period? or could I maybe take clomid without a period?Could taking clomid cause my period to kind of stop or lighten so that ovulation can occur?

If u get online look up clomid u can use a clomid ovulatiin calculator...usually u will ovulate between day 16-21 of ur cycle. A lot of the time the clomid will slow my period and cuts it down to about 5 days. Also u can not take the clomid with out a period. Most of the time if ur not having a cycle then ur not ovulating. And if u r with out a period then ur uterus may not b healthy enough to sustain a pregnancy. Hang in there tho...we have been TTC for 13yrs but only been doing the meds since January 2018. Even if it takes a while it will b worth the wait!! God bless!!
