HI, I have not ovulated for a few months - no +OPKs  even though I had EWM and thought I was Oing. My FSH was 13.5 on day 3 of this cycle. I started
Clomid 50mg on day 5, had a positive OPK day 17 had two IUIs and got my progesteronetested on the 8th day after surge. It was 0.91. I am bummed out. does this mean I did not ovulate after all? I am on progesterone progesterone suppositories which I started last night. I am 40.5 years old. I have yet to see an RE. Any ideas?
I am taking Vit Bcomplex, and women's vits. if I am pregnant by any stretch of the imagination do  have any hope of keeping the pregnancy? How long does it take the progesterone to work if at all?

thanks for the input from basill, lmcrt and heather5. I really appreciate it. I was wondering if I had actually ovulated or not and either way it does not look good. Just went out for lunch with a friend and was wondering what to do this afternoon as I have two glorious days off work but now I remember I need to call me insurance and talk to them about fertility coverage.

I have had 4 failed pregnancies due to low progesterone... after the 3rd one re has me start progesterone with ovulation i was taking 2 sup per day 50mg each.  Once i was pregnant it was only at 9 ;(   RE likes to see 10 so he moved me up to 200 mg which was every 6 hours.. what a pain.  literally, this pregnancy ended at 9.5 weeks no heartbeat... just started new cycle so will be starting back on prog with ovulation and crossing fingers all over again.. I am 38 had tubes untied may 06.

I would recommend going to a RE at your age. They say anyone over 35 will probably need a RE. When Taking Clomid I would start the progesterone Cronine 8% gel on CD17-30. And if your pregnant continue prog. for 10 weeks. If you had a + opk you probably did ovulate but then your progesterone took a plunge. I take clomid Cd3-7, estradiol Cd8-12, and Crinone prog. Cd17-30.

Unfortunately, with a 0.91 progesterone, you probably didn't ovulate this month. A level over 5 indicates some form of ovulation, but the doctors like to see a 10 or higher. You might just need a higher dose of clomid. Many women ovualte on a higher dose after failing to do so on 50 mg. Take care!
