Bc pills? If it was any hormone manipulating bc then expect your body to go a little haywire at least. I realized that once I stopped bc pills that I should have had my gyn in on the plan. Whoa! All types of body/hormone adjustments or side effects like weird menstral cycles. The duration, the consistency, the intense cramping, pms buffet of symptoms open for the picking! Hot flashes, adverse effects to alcohol - the list goes on.   I mean one glass of wine and I become a mello dramatic drama queen swooning and carrying on complaining about needing to faint and what not. Even a massive hangover that would last for a few days. My primary care doctor and gyn, working together, have me on 50,000 iu, per week, of vit D which is essential for hormonal balance. Since my d levels are with the lower part of what is considered a normal range and still climbing I can have that glass of wine like notmal folk plus my period is normal. Doing further research on my own I learned that bc can contribute vitamin deficiency big time. If your hormones are not regulated than an abnormal period is bound to happen. I took the liberty , after some additional research on why my doctors were so focussed on how low my vit d had been, I then realized that my liver could use a cleanse, a boost, something, because it too regulates hormones as well as dispelling toxins, like that bc you were taking. Use Liver Support by the Vitamin Shoppe. It is a very gentle yet highly effective supplement that will bring your reproductive system back to normal. Also, if your doctor approve after running whatever tests they need to run, ask if its okay for them to prescribe 50,000 iu of vit d weekly or if you can take10,000 iu daily with over the counter vit d. Hope this long winded advice helps you out ;D. I just know that I will never take bc that manipulates hormones again. Messing arround with hormones has forever changed my body! Good luck and take care.
