ovulation predictor kits

I'm 39 yrs old my bf 41. We have decided to try and have a baby.  He has kids fron a previous marriage and I have none.  My period is pretty regular except twice since April I have experienced some spotting before the start of my period. I have been under some extreme stress and have had this happen to me before about 2 years ago.  Anyways we have been having sex regularly since April and nothing yet. I just visted a dr last week and have done some blood tests (no results yet) and am scheduled to have a ultrasound next week to check for any blockages. So if all goes well she suggested I start using a predictor kit. So my question is, what's a good one and any info would be very useful. .. this is all new to me. Thanks :)

Hello,
Ovulation is the release of a single, mature egg from a follicle that developed in the ovary. It usually occurs regularly, around day 14 of a 28-day menstrual cycle. You can note down few signs of ovulation like during ovulation the cervical mucus increases and is of watery or raw egg white consistency; there is increase in basal body temperature; breast tenderness. It can be detected by an Ovulation predictor test kit which is tested with the help of urine. A sperm can live in the body for up to 5 days so make sure that you have had sex several days before ovulation. For the best OPK it is best to contact your gynecologist. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing!
