Thank you so much for your response. I did not try the basal temp bit but did find, on several occasions, that the cervical fluid was stretchy and different so I assumed I was ovulating. So far, today being my 13th day, I have not found the stretchy fluid so it may be that I might miss ovulation altogether or have a late one. I have had a lot of stress last month as well as this month so am thinking it could be stress. I hope at least the ovulation drug that my doc wants to put me on, works. My husband has trouble ejaculating though his sperm count is excellent so the moment I start ovulating we would be going for IUI. Anyway simply keeping my fingers crossed. Thanks for your support once again.
you may be ovulating, but perhaps it doesn't happen regularly. You may be having anovulatory cycles, which is when you don't ovulate, but get a period anyway. It sounds like your doc told you this is what is happening, but it doesn't necessarily mean it's happening with every cycle. I would recommend reading the book "taking charge of your fertility." It gives you ways that you can determine if you are ovulating every months without having to have invasive procedures or ultrasounds all of the time. It involves charting your basal temp (once you see a rise in temp..it indicates you ovulated) and also paying attention to your cervical fluid and cervical position. Do some research on charting, etc and see what you find out. Good luck..i know it can be frustrating. my hubby and I have been ttc for 7 months now..though i know it hasn't been a year yet...it's very frustrating and drives me crazy! :)
