To my cyber sisters

Thank you sooooo much for all your prayers... My mom went to be with the Lord today... We are so very thankful that the suffering has ended for her... She was an amazing christian woman and will be greatly missed!  My heart aches that Zeva will never know her "yia-yia" (greek for grandmother) - but boy do I have plenty of stories for her!

P.S.  "It whispers, so listen" - that is what is said about ovarian cancer... I know that many of us have taken mass amounts of fertility meds, and although there is no scientific evidence, I strongly encourage you to have a transvag ultrasound annually to check your ovaries for abnormalities... My mother's health/habits, were those of which the "list" says are least likely to contract ovarian cancer (having a baby before 25 - I am one of 5; breastfeeding - she breastfed all of us; having a tubaligation - she did... there are more, I just can't think straight right now)...  I have watched her struggle with this desease, she beat the odds (Drs didn't give her much hope to live to see my DD born - 7/20/06 - but she did!), and although she is finally "healed" and at peace, it is very hard - no one should have to go through this...

Love,

Zeva's Mom

I'm so sorry for your loss.  It is so hard to lose our mothers.   We never think this day will happen and when it does and even if you're prepared, you're never prepared.   When I say to you that I lost my mom earlier this year unexpectedly, a piece of me died to, I am just telling you this because I can so understand you're grief and loss.   I am offering all the compassion in the world.  God bless!

I am so truly sorry for your loss... I can't even begin to imagine the pain that comes from losing your mother.  The true silver lining would be what you've grasped already... the pain of the cancer is over.  She is at peace, watching over you and your daughter.
I'm not a big online hugger, but you get big hugs today!

Our prayers are with you.

i am so sorry for your loss.  Thankfully, you had a mom and got to love her and vice versa.  I grew up in girls homes and never got to experience that or never will but my heart hurts knowing what it must feel like.  I am glad she got to see your daughter.  Peace and happiness.  :)
