That's too bad about the metformin. Why don't they give you something in it's place? Ask if they tested to see if you were ovulating. Of course, that test has to be done at the right time of the month. An ultrasound would also show ovulation. It's really too bad about the weight issue, but I know what you mean. You have to be forceful and stand up for what you want, so be aggressive on your approach to conceiving.
thanks for that, i had bloods done about a week ago, they told me that my hormone levels where almost back to normal, but never mentioned anything about whether or not i was ovulating, i was on metformin but had to stop cause they made me so sick, they have talked about putting me on clomid but they have never really made any decision on it, my ob says he feels that i should be able to concieve on my own, but i am not so sure, i am overweight because of the pcos and trying so hard to lose it, i think that because i am overweight they are not really interested in me, its so unfair, if i was able to get pregnant naturally my weight wouldnt be and issue.
Having your period is definitely a good sign, but it doesn't necessarily mean that you are ovulating. I would recommend an appointment with your ob/gyn. He can do blood work on you to see if you are ovulating or not. There are also meds (Metformin and Clomid) that can be given to help with trying to conceive. Good luck!
