pregnancy after an HSG

I just had my HSG done last week (after 19 months of ttc). She said the tubes were clear. I was wondering if anyone here has had this done (I ovulate in the next 2 days so my fingers are crossed). I read somewhere that the chances of getting pregnant after an HSG increase significantly. Does anyone here know anything about this or even had this done and had a better success rate?

Hi ladies. I've been reading most of the post. Thanks for the support. I'm 36 and had a reversal done on my tubes in Oct. I haven't got pregnant. My husband went to get his sperm tested and everything is good. I just had the HSG test on the 22 of March and it wasn't to bad just a pinch.  Of course I took 2 aleve about an hour before. Found out that my left tube is block. I started  an ovulation test "clear blue" and I started ovulating on the 26. I had sex on the 27th and now the 28th I'm in pain. Don't know what's going on but i'm scared. I've been pregnant before and it wasn't painful in the begining.

Just wanted to give you ladies some inspiration and hope.My husband and I had been trying to concieve for almost 2 years when we decided to go see a specialist.last january 2010 I had my hsg done I posted my results on here already but just incase you didn't see them my tubes were kinda blocked at the ends however the dye did go thru. So we continued to try on our own for the next few months.I decided to lose some weight I lost about 20lbs over the summer of 2010. We then decided to go back to the infertility specialist in august e
2010. She was sooooo negative. She offered us no hope told me to get both of my tubes removed and do ivf. Told my husband there was nothing that could be done to increase his good sperm count which was a little low. She made a appt. For us with the actual doctor who would do the surgery and ivf for us. I cried and told my husband that there was no way that I would take advice from a doctor who offered no hope...I refused to listen to her as a 24year old woman to get my tubes removed. I know there is a God and I have way to much faith in God then to completely put my fertility in the hands of a doctor that offered no hope. Well that very next month I canceled the appt. With the doctor and said let Gods will be done. We found out we was pregnant tHe day after my missed period in sept.2010. So not even a month after that very horrible appointment where my doc offered no hope...we completely got pregnant on our own. I'm. About 32wks pregnant now. Waiting to give birth in may to our first son. I hope my story offers someone else some hope and remember to always have faith in god yourself and your partner.with god anything is possible and his will shall be done. Keep trying put it in Gods hands...not just your doctors..man can fail...god wont

HSG went fine! It didnt hurt until they put the balloon in and then started in with the dye. The pain was just like cramps you would have during your menst. Other than that it went well, all is good, no problems!! Hopefully the Dr. said that most women get preg. the month of the test wether or not they'r tubes were blocked or not. So.....lets pray!!!!
