pregnancy or not??

Hello.I just had sex with my girlfriend on march 11and stopped around 7:30pm, Tuesday. She said her period lasted 4 days and ended on march 10, Monday, so from march 6 or 7 to march 10. She has been freaking out and doesnt want to talk about it in a calm manner...anyways, we went to cvs and bought Next Choice one pill emergency contraception an hour after sex. She used the EC around 8:45pm the same night, march 11. She told me that she was 2 weeks late on her Depo shot, which is why I recommended the EC an hour or little after sex. She also said she is usually on a 28 day cycle, rarely early, and always on time. So, what are the chances of her getting pregnant in the future? I have been worrying all day.

Yah because I used this calculator and many others and they all say she wouldnt even be fertile till the start of the 14 to 20 (according to her period lengths and cycle lengths), and we had sex and she used the EC on march 11, Tuesday night. She just told me she will be getting her depo shot on march 15, Saturday morning.

The previous poster is correct.  She is likely not pregnant because she took emergency contraception. When a person takes emergency contraception they are flooding their body with hormones (the same found in particular birth control pills but a larger dose). A common side effect of this is irregular menses. I believe her cycle was induced due to the emergency contraception. She should never miss her Depo because the pharmacokinetics of that medicine. People who miss it even by a few days have a great chance of getting pregnant because there's no exact way to determine how fast a person metabolized the medicine. Next time you guys should use condoms if you know she hasn't been on birth control.

Just a little advice from your neighborhood pharmacist.

If she took the emergency contraception, then she's unlikely to fall pregnant form that.

However, not taking her birth control on time and having unprotected sex means she could very well end up pregnant in the future.
I's suggest getting her DEPO on time, and using condoms as well as a back up - this will also protect against STDs.
