semen analysis help

Hello,
My husband had a semen analysis as follows, can anyone help interpret?
Volume: 6.5
Viscosity: normal
Liquefaction: 10 min
Elevated WBC
Sperm Concentration: 90.5
Motility, Rapid Progression: 50%
Motility, Slow Progression: 20%
Motility, Non-Progression: 5%
Motility, Immotile: 25%


Please help...as my results are coming back ok on the female side.

My husband is in the military and has been deployed several times. We have heard of other guys getting infections that infect the sperm. But didnt think it was something we should worry about until now.
We are waiting to get more tests done. Hopefully, it is a simple infection that we can treat!

Thanks for the nutrition tips. Diet is probably the most difficult to address in the military, as they live off those Military meals/MRE's. They are full of terrible preservatives, saturated fat, etc..

Hello and hope you are doing well.
Your sperm motility appears normal. If there is presence of WBC it may indicate an infection. You may try some things which might help in improving sperm health. Take a nutritious food low in fat and high in protein, vegetables and whole grains. Reduce caffeine intake. Quit smoking and alcohol. Smoking impairs sperm count and motility, reduces sperm lifespan and alcohol lowers the production of sperm and of the male hormone testosterone .Ensure adequate intake of vitamins like Vitamin C, Vitamin A, Vitamin E and Zinc. Vitamins help in synthesis and maintenance of the normal sperms and also help in preventing clumping. For infection you may need a course of antibiotics. Consult a physician for more queries and concern. Keep me posted.
