Perspectives please!

My husband and I have been TTC for a year. Recently my gyno scheduled me for an ultra sound to start the process of getting pregnant.

brief history: I do not use opk (up until this month actually) I had the mirena iud it gave me pid last march 2013. it was in for four years with no issues. Shortly after due to hormonal and appetite changes I developed gallstones then had surgery end of June 2013. All Dr said I should be fine to get pregnant but potential scar tissue.

The ultra sound was last wed. April 2 showed I do indeed ovulate. And she saw it. I ovulation on the first, second or third. (she said it lasts about 12/48 hours not sure what stage) we BD two days immediately before my appt. And 4 days after in a row. Saturday April 5 I went to urgent care with blood in urine and mild cramping. Then I spotted at the Dr and never since. It was just light spotting not bright red. I was put on antibiotics for the uti but I just don't get where this all came from. I never get uti. Could it be from the ultra sound? It was vaginal and abdominal. But why on Saturday would I bleed vaginally ? I don't know What to think so ladies any ideas would be great. I have my general symptoms at this stage, I do get waves of feeling sick but I don't know if it's the antibiotics.

Can I still have a good chance at conceiving this month? If not there's next month. This cycle is weird.

I am a regular 31/32 day cycle

UTI from what I know is normally irritation or yeast ump toms not so much bleeding or spotting. Sometimes spotting can be from sexual intercourse itself. Even implantation of an egg can cause spotting. I wouldn't worry to much on the basis of some spotting. If you notice it continues then see your dr.

Thank you for your reply. I will use the smileys next month. Thank you for your recommendation. Also I pee before bed and we have sex before we go to sleep. If I get up to go to the bathroom a few hours later no dribbles. We have always had sex before bed and gone to sleep right after. I've not once had a uti from that. =/ not to say it can't happen. But will it lessen my chances this month?  Also the spotting I had has never come back, could that have been because I had a uti? The spotting was around 5dpo. So there shouldn't have been spotting.

I as well was trying for a year before getting pregnant and miscarriage twice. I did several things over the counter such as kits that were available. I would recommend the yes or no or smiley face first response or clear blue ovulation kit. Second when you and your spouse have sex see if his sperm leaks out when going to bathroom at any time after sex. Cause I used to notice even hours after sex my bf sperm would leak out. If you do you might wanna take specific measures on making sure it doesn't leak out.
