trying to concieve after bc

My husband and I have recently decided we are ready to have our third child. I had a missed miscarriage in November 2012 and have been on microgestin Fe 1/20 for 8 months and just recently stopped due to wanting to conceive and was wanting to know what kind of time frame it could take to get regulated and conceive? Please and thank you!

Hi there,
It is recommended to have at least one normal period prior to conceiving in order to estimate your ovulation cycle after cessation of birth control pills. After stopping pills a short delay may occur before ovulation resumes. Depending on the type of birth control pill you are on, your ovulation cycle may resume quickly or delay for some time .It is possible for your period to be delayed after stopping the pill, which may impact your ovulation and ability to conceive. I recommend talking with your doctor and getting some routine blood work and other tests done since you had a prior history of miscarriage. Do write to us again with more queries.
Best luck and regards!
