i'm ttc naturally also, without perscribed meds. the only supplement dh and i take is nature's way alive! wholefood liquid multivitamin. it has a ton of essential vitamins and minerals, plus digestive enzymes, antioxidents, fatty acids, etc. for overall health. a liquid multivitamin is digested and distributed into the blood stream more quickly and effectively than a pill, especially if taken with food (most of the contents of a pill are flushed out with your urine). anyway, it is citrus flavored, but doesn't taste very good, so i blend it in my daily tofu and fruit smoothies that i make.

my philosophy for ttc naturally, which of course isn't for everybody because some people have more serious complications (i have unexplained infertility), is not to go overboard with supplements and herbs, as you never know what kind of complications they can cause with your body or the baby. too much of some kinds of vitamins can build up in your body and cause birth defects or developmental problems with the baby. just focus on a healthy lifestyle in general and make sure you are tracking everything else to the best of your ability. make sure you are eating healthy and getting all the nutrients you need, and exercise too. this won't necessarily help the swimmers go faster, or make your eggs more receptive, but if the rest of your body is healthy and working the way it should there will be less complications. for example, for me, losing some weight has helped my cycles to become more regular in the last several months, which i am sure is going to make it easier for me to track my cycles and have more opportunities to catch my o and make sure i do the bd when i need too! just some thoughts... hope this helps!

Did Dh have a bad s/a? If not, I wouldn't take unnessary meds/vitamins. I see you are younger and suspect dh is, too. Unless he has had testing, I would think his swimmers are tip-top.  Many women(and men)start taking otc vitamins, minerals, herbs, etc, in the hopes of getting pg faster. Fact is, a lot of these things are stored in the body and can be quite harmful.

If he has had a bad s/a, what was the main problem? Quantity, motility? Different problems require different actions.

As far as his swimmers go my husband was told to take antioxidant vitamins ( C,E, & Beta Carotene) Those are supposedly the best. I heard musinex for you during O to help thin CM to make it less hostile. Also I heard pre-seed lubricant helps as far as the hostile environment, I hope this helps a little.
