vitamins to boost immune system during IVF retrieval?

During my last IVF I was on antibiotics, but I got a terrible infection and got a fever and had to be switched to even stronger antibiotics.  I was in horrible pain, plus I was mildly hyperstimulatated, so I'm REALLY nervous about my upcoming retrieval which should be later this week.  I'm trying to stay optimistic and hoping that it will go smoother, but I'm nervous.

Do any of you take additional vitamins or herbs on top of your prenatal before your retrieval?  Should I double up on my prenatal?  It couldn't hurt - right?  I mean once you get pregnant my vitamin says to go to 2/day (I'm on a prescription one called Prenate DHA) - so how bad could it be to do it before the retrieval?  But I was also thinking of other vitamins or herbs.

I'm not going through IVF but I have asthma and get sick alot so my immune system is always down now that I am on the atkins diet and TTC my doctor suggested that I look into L-Glutamine, It supports Immune Function and Supports Muscle Mass.

You might want to read more about it.

Hope that helps, good luck.
