I have PCOS too. Here are a few basic things you can do to help. If you are overweight getting down to a healthy weight will help. Try exercising 30 min 4-5 times a week. Even just a quick walk.

Here is what I have been through. First I am not over weight and I exercise regularly. My hormone levels all came back normal on my blood work. My vaginal ultrasound showed lots of cysts on both of my ovaries. Therefore, my doc has done the following for me:

- I waited until day 35 of my current cycle and then my doc put me on progesterone to help induce a period. I just started my period today.
- On day 5-9 of this cycle my doc is going to give me Clomid.
- If I do not get pregnant my doc will up the dosage of clomid. Usually docs start with 50mg, then 100mg, then 150mg, and sometimes not always they will go up to 200mg.

Another med docs use for PCOS is Metformin. Metformin is not FDA approved for PCOS but many docs will still use it with success. Metformin is a med for diabetics. However, many women with PCOS have insulin problems, which Metformin can help with.

Good Luck

You need to use methods to pinpoint ovulation. Now this can be difficult, especially with PCOS but many women manage it and conceive successfully.

You can do this by charting your BBT (basil body temperature) and using OPKs (ovulation predictor kits) to see you're in your fertile window. You shoud also be having sex every other day leading to ovulation, and for a few days after.
