wanting to get pregnant

Please someone help me ...me and my new husband have been trying desperately to get pregnant...I was on the depo for about 8yrs prior to getting married....I got my shot in sept. Of 2012 I was due for the next shot Nov. 05 2012 I did not get that shot....I had some light spotting after that and did not have a real period until Feb 15 2013 and then again today march 17 2013 when should I have sex to make sure we conceive ....we starred having sex march 08 hoping to catch my ovulation but I think e failed that.......crying out for help......when am I ovulating..

Ovulation takes place 14 days after your period. You need to get ovulation test to pin point when you ovulate, you can also temp every day in the morning and ur temp gets higher and stays higher After you ovulate though, so ovulation sticks opks would be useful. it actually happens after which is why we have periods. The egg and uterus lining is shed from the previous cycle so the next egg can be realeased and your uterus can be ready.

ovulation occurs 14 days before ur periods and not 14 days after ur periods.

i had this confusion for a long time but my doctor clearified it to me.

You started trying too late this month.  You were probably most fertile around March 1-3.

Most women ovulate about 14 days after the beginning of a menstrual period.

not sure if i could help but i would advice u to try to have sex at least every alternate day or more. Sperms live in womens body for 4-5 days. by doing this hopefully when u ovulate there will be some little sperm around to fertilise it and u may fall pregnant. best of luck.
