I don't know much about the home remidies, but I do know that you need to try to have fun and stay stress free (if women can even be stress free). Keep track of when you ovulate is the only sure way to get pg.
Good luck this month!!!!!!!!!
I agree - stay as stress free as you can! I think the cough syrup has something to do with CM - but I'm not sure how that works. Keeping track of when you ovulate is good - either by taking temps, an ovulation microscope (not sure how reliable this is), or opks. Try to bd at least every other day around ovulation time. Good luck and have fun!! :D
The theories are:
-green tea (decaf only) is supposed to help thin CM to help make it more hospitable to sperm, as is "guaifenesin" (an ingredient in some cough syrups -- only use Robitussin that has this as it's sole ingredient). Drinking plenty of water is also supposed to increase CM.
-pinapple juice has been said to help with implantation, when that time comes.
If you don't know if your CM needs help, then you may just want to use ovulation predictor kits (OPKs) to test to see when you're about to ovulate. As soon as you get a positive OPK you should have sex that day and 2 to 3 days after that... this will ensure you are having intercourse during the time of ovulation. The closer to ovulation you can time intercourse the better your chances are of getting pregnant.
Of course, charting your temperatures over a course of months will be helpful for you to know when, on average, you ovulate and how long your cycle is. Check out fertilityfriend.com for more info on this.
Good luck!
OMG I hope this is not TMI, but my specialist told me that during BD you should make sure the woman comes AFTER the guy; the vaginal contractions can help the cervix draw up semen from where it pools at the neck of the womb. Worked for us...I got preg after YEARS of infertility. I'm not saying it is the only factor in our success, but it sounded logical to me and hey, gotta be worth a try!!! LOL!
Sounds like an old wive's tale but then at the same time you go, ya know what, that makes sense! Sounds reasonable. This is also TMI but I do try to lay still and contract my muscles manually...if nothing else, I'm building up my muscles for when the time comes that I am pregnant, LOL. :o)
