Ampligen

I have been suffering from CFS for the past 9 months and recently saw Dr Stuart Silverman from Beverly hills.  He recommends exercising 5 days a week and taking amino acid tablets which has had some positive effect on my fatigue and concentration.  Have any one heard of Ampligen being approved in 2009 for CFS and so far I have heard some positive effect on CFS patients without too much side effects.  I think they just completed phase 3 trials.  Anyone have any ideas?

Hi ! I have heard of Ampligen before... heard it was a research drug and very expensive. There was one CFS patient who relied on Ampligen. Without taking the anti-viral medication, she was wheelchair bound.

I do plan on adding Ampligen to the list of CFS treatments. I also need to add that Valcyte trial. But of course... some of these treatments for CFS are risky. I want to include my personal thoughts on that as well (and anyone elses).

Haven't heard of Ampligen, but looked it up on the internet.  Interesting it has an anti-viral action. I read it's being studied to be used for AIDS too.  Sounds like a step in the right direction for chronic fatigue and fibro. since viruses can trigger these diseases.  Keep us updated.
