Anyone else have these symptoms?

I got the flu shot and 5 days later my fingers started going numb and tingling. Within 10 days it was my whole body and sharp, toe curling, nauseating pains shoot in my shoulders, hips, and up the left side of my neck and head. This progressed every day for 14 days. On day 15 my head stopped hurting. Today is day 16 and I was actually able to make it 1/2 the day before I took Lortab. MRI with and w/o contrast of head and neck, CT scan of head and EMG/NCT were normal and my reflexes are good. At a loss... Being referred to a rheumatologist but all labs to check for anything rheumatological were normal. All other labs normal too-thyroid, b12, CBC, potassium, etc. Any one else out there like me?

I avoid the flu shot like it's the plague!  I had it ONE time about 10 years ago and I was sicker than I've ever been.  The aches and pains lasted the entire winter - I couldn't get any Dr to figure out what was wrong and they certainly wouldn't admit it was the flu shot!

If it's like the experience I had with my flu shot you will get over it with time.  It doesn't sound too much like fibromyalgia.   I'd be patient and see how things go.  Good luck.

Thanks for responding! The more I research, the more I think I've had a reaction to the vaccine. I'm still going to the rheumatologist to get checked out on the 16th, but I'm gradually getting better day by day. Do my symptoms sound like fibro at all?

I got a flu shot last winter which gave me a stiff left shoulder and neck for a couple of months.  I am going to avoid flu shots this winter.  I have had fibro for over four years, but nothing has ever affected me like that last flu shot I got.
