Dizziness and Balance Problems

I have read some of the topics and they make you feel like your not the only one.  I have been having dizziness and balance problems for several months.  I was getting concerned and wondered if I needed to see the doctor because I was afraid I might have a tumor or something but if this is pretty normal with fibromyalgia then I won't worry so much.  If anyone knows of anything at all that might help this I would appreciate knowing.  It is kinda scary when you have to drive and have this dizziness.  You just do not feel normal. Thanks for any input.

I have been searching for weeks on balance problems and FMS. 9 weeks ago I suddenly lost my balance and had a horrible time walking. It is like waching a drunk person. I have had every test under the sun and my Dr.s say it is FMS. I can't find anything on the web that says so. I have slowly gotten better but still have problems at times like after walking for a period of time expecialy up hill I go down hill fast. I get very  weak in my legs and can not stand up. I have to wait for help then I am carried to the sofa till I gain energy.  Is this normal for FMS. I have read about MS and this is one of the symptoms for it but my Dr.s say I do not have that. Sometimes I wish it were because it will go into remission and I don't think FMS does.

I too have the dizziness and the balance problem.  And yes it is very scary to drive at night.  I've had the dizziness, etc, for about 2 years or so. I've had fibro for 15 years. I don't take anything for it.  I've read in this forum that it is one of the symptoms.  It's just another thing to put in the "fibro basket", as I call it.
