Some Fibro folks simply respond to the extra warmth. You may wish to research the increased role of Vit-D. It's been found that a huge % of the population ends up being curiously deficient in this supplement. Some even point to the increased use of SPF sunscreen as a contributor!
are you saying lack of vitamin d may cause fatigue symptoms? I do notice that my CFS symptoms seem to improve when I am out in the sun
Also have your iron and vitamin D levels tested to ensure they aren't contributing to your fatigue. Many of us have this issue.
Here is some information on diagnosing from the info here on MedHelp. Essentially they need to rule out other things and see if you have tender points. Mine mostly started in my neck and shoulder and I definitely feel pain in the tender points on the top of my arm, the outside of my knee and in my rib cage. Insist that your doctor rule out all things including this. Ask to be seen by a rheumatologist as they are the best at diagnosing and treating. Good luck.
Diagnosis of fibromyalgia requires a history of a least three months of widespread pain, and pain and tenderness in at least 11 of 18 tender-point sites. These tender-point sites include fibrous tissue or muscles of the:
•Neck
•Shoulders
•Chest
•Rib cage
•Lower back
•Thighs
•Knees
•Arms (elbows)
•Buttocks
Sometimes, laboratory and x-ray tests are done to help confirm the diagnosis. The tests will also rule out other conditions that may have similar symptoms. The following conditions have been associated with fibromyalgia or mimic its symptoms:
•Cancer
•Cervical and low-back degenerative disease
•Chronic fatigue syndrome
•Depression
•HIV infection
•Hypothyroidism
•Irritable bowel syndrome
•Lyme disease
•Rheumatoid arthritis
◦Sleep disorders
