Hi

Do any of you get muscle twitching and if so where do you get it?  Not actual movements of limbs but the muscle itself twitching.

I see that so many of you get twitching. I have'nt been diagnosed with Fibro but everything is pointing to it. My Endo what's me to see a Rhuemy Dr to see if this is what it is.
I get twitching in my neck that makes my head look like it's vibrating. Do any of you get this? Is it one of the symptoms of Fibro? Thanks. Remar

Frequently. Mine vary in the location and will quite often stem from what I've been doing. If I'm really, really, etc, etc tired (versus the usual really tired) I get twitches in my face - usually the upper or lower eyelid, the eyebrow and occasionally in the cheek. I have had twitches in my neck occasionally. If I do a lot of walking and or extended periods of sitting I will usually get them in my thighs and glutes (the latter being really awkward in public if someone asks what's wrong! People tend to think you're weird if you answer my *** muscle is twitching :p ). I also get what I used to think were really big shivers that came in sets of up to 10 in a row (it's like a shiver when you're cold but amplified to the point where I will lift up if seated). After 5 years of getting these and being diagnosed with Fibro 2 years ago I finally figured out (during a bad series at night while in bed) that they weren't shivers but the muscles in my back spasming really strongly. I have also had pinpointed spasms in my back.

The muscle spasms are extremely annoying and uncomfortable and have lasted for hours at a time.

Yes.  Sometimes bad enough to literally jerk my entire body when I'm trying to sleep.  It's impossible to sleep with such jerking.  Often, it's one of my feet that suddenly jerks.  I have even had my larynx make involuntary sounds because of muscle twitching.  That has been quite embarrassing in certain situations.
