You are right. I just sent applications to 3 other apt. complexes. I am hoping to hear something this week. the intimidation is not stopping. I was out walking my dog and the manager stopped his car right by me and just sat there and stared at me for about 30 seconds. Then I was rounding the corner  one day and the mgrs. assistant waited till I got around the corner and her and the resident stopped talking and I could here her whispering.
They are so rude. One day my friend and I were standing by the elev. and we heard her say to mgr. "why don't we lock the t.v. room that will drive them crazy". Yes it is time for me to go. Thank you for your concern.

My stress is caused by the staff of the apt. complex i live at. I have tried to obtain a parking space and they have used intimidation tactics. such as yelling, talking to me rudely, belittling me, and this has happened to me numerous times and to other seniors here. What else do you need to know? the emotional and psychological stress has been overwhelming. they have laughed at me also.
thank you

Stress us the biggest no-no's to anyone who has chronic illness.  Knowing ME/CFS, FMS among other things, I can guarantee worsening of your condition with extra stress in life.

So, it becomes mighty important that we learn to deal with stress0rs...emotional sstress being one of them..

I tend to believe stress alone doesn't cause any illness, othere co-elements contribute to a person gets to be seriously ill.  Hope I'm making sense.

I am so sorry this has happened to you. Often times we can see blessings and gifts that come even from our pain.

Who is causing you stress and in what way. I can find specific information for you to give to your attorney.  Stress is a #1 cause of illness and disease expecially for women.  There were 2 authors on the Today Show just this morning with a new book on that very subject.

I would be happy to help you find more information. If you can be more specific.

All the best, always.

Hello Concerned;
I appreciate your comment sooo much. I to had to quit my high paying job also. I live at the poverty level now. My x husband divorced me. Which was actually a blessing in disguise. I was diagnosed 14 years ago. back then there was even more controversy over
FMS. I practice breathing tech. and relaxation tech. also.
Since I started this action almost 8 months ago it has caused constant flares. It has doubled the time that I have had to spend in bed and isolated. I need info. on the affects of extra stress for my attorney. If these people get away with how they are treating us seniors they will continue on their same abusive path. If you know of any articles or books I could get to prove my point I would be overjoyed. I have looked on the internet but have not found much relating to how extra stress affects a person who has a chronic illness. they say that prolonged stress can cause these conditions but do not mention the affects once you have the illness.
THANK YOU,
K.K.

Stress is the number one factor in how you will live through a chronic dis-ease like FMS.  I had to stop a career paying close to $100,000.00 per year. The stress of my job which wasn't always bad stress was killing me.  I was physically and mentally drained. My pain was so intense and of course I couldn't rest during the day or take anything for pain during the work day.
I also had stressful events occur in my life, the death of my mother and other things. There were times I really thought I would not make it through. The FM flare ups wouldn't stop. The pain was unbearable and the strongest medications didn't touch the pain.
Stress effects every area of our lives. My husband has Diabetes II, when he is under a lot of extra stress it actually makes his blood sugar readings go up.  Stress causes heart disease, depression, hair loss, anger, addiction.
We can't eliminate all stress but there are so many things we can do to understand how stress affects us and what we can do to better manage it.
I learned breathing techniques years ago, yoga breathing that really helps me. I also realized through so many traumatic events that only I could take care of myself in a way that prevented more pain in my life.
I hope some of this helps. All the best.
